Mostly Creative Workshop is a small team of friends that have a goal to break into the "film industry." While the team continue to work regular day jobs to pay the bills, film-making is a non-stop passion for the members of Mostly Creative Workshop.

Having created numerous short videos, 2007 brought recognition from Cooler Master, the Treo Comedy Film Festival, and the MobiFest Toronto 07 event. Mostly Creative Workshop won the Cooler Master film contest and also won the ReTake category at the Treo Comedy Film Festival held in Los Angeles. Recognized for their contribution to mobile film-making, Mostly Creative Workshop received an honorable mention at the Mobifest Toronto event held on November 20th, 2007. In December of 2007, Mostly Creative Workshop won a video contest for a mobile e-mail software company.

In the beginning of 2008, using the winnings from 2007, Mostly Creative Workshop was able to purchase new cameras and equipment. This was important because their previous camera had become worn out with nearly 5 years of use. Additional members also joined the team in the beginning of 2008, adding more minds and manpower.

By the end of 2008, Mostly Creative Workshop hopes to have released their first full length movie, or compilation, to the general public.

Cameras: 2x JVC GZ-HD7 (replaced a Sony DSR-PD150 in January 2008). Hard Drive recording all the way!
Audio: Samson Zoom H4
Microphones: Sennheiser products (shotgun capsules, powered module, and wireless system) as well as the Samson Zoom H4
Playback: Bose headphones and speakers
Editing System: Intel-based computers by MJP Computers
Software: Sony Vegas (editing), Sonicfire Pro (music generation), FXhome Visionlab (special effects), Final Draft (scripts)
Other: Pen and Paper (because sometimes, it's just easier), our family and friends (wouldn't be here without family, and friends make things fun... sometimes)

A lot of our work this year has been trying to get some advertising commercial work, so we can't post those due to the products :(

Where are we now?
As of May, 2008 - Mostly Creative Workshop has begun working on a web series - the planning and development phase have been completed. Scripts are currently being written for these episodes, and we hope to have our website up and running shortly to promote the series.
As of June, 2008 - Mostly Creative Workshop has completed the script work on 5 episodes, and is in pre-production phases to begin shooting.
As of July, 2008 - Mostly Creative Workshop has completed principal photography of the first episode of the series, and is also shooting commercial material for another technology company. The second and third episodes of the series are planned for the last week of July or the first week of August.
As of August, 2008 - Mostly Creative Workshop completed shooting on the commercial projects and began planning out the next Mobifest entries. Mobifest videos are due to begin shooting in September.
As of September 3, 2008 - Mostly Creative Workshop was awarded 2nd place for their video "Video Game Battle - Pwned" and completed test shooting of one of our Mobifest entries.
As of October 9, 2008 - Mostly Creative Workshop is rushing to complete their entries for this year's Mobifest Film Festival.
As of October 15, 2008 - Some of the Mostly Creative Workshop members haven't slept in 24 hours to get their videos ready and submitted in time for this year's Mobifest Film Festival.
